The panel is the remote display for the Skylla-TG 24/30 and 24/50 GMDSS battery chargers, which are supplied without a panel. One standard UTP cable links the charger to the panel and carries both data and power, so no separate supply is needed at the mounting location. Battery capacity, charged voltage detection and charge efficiency are set from the panel, so state of charge readings match the installed battery bank.
Low voltage, high voltage and charger failure alarms are always active and cannot be disabled, while low state of charge and current alarms can be enabled as required. A potential-free relay contact lets the panel signal an external alarm or monitoring system. The panel suits commercial vessels, workboats and offshore craft that carry GMDSS radio equipment.
Pair the panel with a Skylla-TG GMDSS charger to complete a monitored GMDSS DC supply. Powerbox Pacific provides local engineering support and technical guidance for Victron Energy marine installations.
