Value-Added Power Solutions, Built Around Your Project
From a single pre-wired enclosure to a fully custom electro-mechanical assembly — Powerbox Pacific takes on the parts of the build that go beyond the power converter itself.
What Is a Value-Added Solution?
Selecting the right power converter, inverter or battery charger is often only the starting point. Product designers and engineering teams then have to work out how it will be installed, housed, and wired into the finished product — and in many projects, the power supply is only a small part of the overall assembly, with fusing, terminal blocks and other components still to be sourced, installed and wired in.
A value-added solution is the process of taking a standard power conversion device and building around it. That can be as simple as installing a converter into an IP-rated enclosure, or as involved as a fully pre-wired electro-mechanical sub-assembly with multiple converters, fans, diodes and breakers. At the far end of the scale, it can mean a custom-designed enclosure, a custom PCB, and a microcontroller for control or alarm states.
Engineered to your exact specifications — every value-added solution is built to the drawings and requirements you provide, with our team working alongside yours throughout, so the finished build matches exactly what the project needs.
Not Sure How Much Support You Need?
"Value-added" can mean anything from a simple enclosure fit-out to a fully custom build — here are some common solutions we offer, so you can see roughly where your project sits.
Enclosure Fit-Out
Converter installed into an IP-rated enclosure
Pre-Wired Assembly
AC/DC cabling, terminations, LED indication
Multi-Converter Sub-Assembly
Multiple converters, fans, diodes, breakers, N+1 redundancy
Full Custom Build
Custom enclosure, custom PCB, micro-controlled alarms

Explore Solar Box Solutions →Rack Mounted & Cabinetised Solutions
Bespoke rack-mounted and cabinetised power systems for voltages and configurations standard products don't cover — with DC distribution, battery backup and full documentation.
Explore Rack Mounted Solutions →Custom & Electro-Mechanical Assembly
Full custom power solutions for projects where space, output voltage or approvals rule out an off-the-shelf product — from concept through prototyping to production.
Explore Custom Solutions →How It Works
1. Tell Us What You Need
Converter type, input/output voltages and load currents, physical space envelope, cooling and mounting style, and any connectors, alarms or indication required.
2. Proposal & Design
We come back with a proposal covering the technical approach, engineering design time, and pricing for sample, pre-production and production quantities.
3. Prototype & Sample
A first-off sample is built for your review and sign-off before production begins — with no minimum order quantity, from single units upward.
4. Production & Testing
Every assembly is functionally and load-tested before shipping. Typical timeframes range from 1-2 weeks for a repeat Solar Box build through to 3-6 months for a fully custom solution.
5. Delivery & Ongoing Support
We can scale production to match demand and hold buffer stock on repeat-configuration builds, so you're not exposed to lead time changes on components you rely on.
